Top
5 Adam Sandler Movies
The top 5 Adam Sandler movies are as follows:
1) Mr.
Deeds
2) Billy
Madison
3) Big
Daddy
4) Happy
Gilmore
5) That’s
My Boy
First, here’s some
background information on Adam Sandler himself…
Adam Sandler (Sandman) was
born in Brooklyn, New York on September, 9th. 1966. When he was only
17 years old her took the stage at a comedy club in Boston spontaneously.
There, he found he was a natural comic. Years go by and he experiences many
different comedy related jobs. Now, he is one of the most famous hilarious
actors. He can make you laugh until you’re blue in the face and clutching your
stomach from the pain, in just the matter of seconds.
In a
movie I look for mainly how well the actors/actress’ play their roles; or in
this case, how Adam Sandler fits in the movie. Also, the plot can mean a lot
when rating a film.
In fifth
place comes That’s My Boy. Adam
Sandler plays as the main character, Donny whom is still in his teens. Donny
fathers a son, Todd. Donny raises Todd as a single parent until Todd’s 18th
birthday. Donny and Todd haven’t seen one another for years and when Todd’s world
starts to turn all around and be terrible on the day before his wedding, Donny shows
up. Donny tries his heart out to become closer with his son and deal with how
badly he has parented Todd.
In fourth comes
Happy Gilmore, an old hockey player
attempts to raise money for his under fire from the IRS grandmother. In order
to save the house, he has to find a way to raise $270,000. Since Gilmore had
experience in hockey, he managed to win a golf open by being able to drive the
ball to phenomenal distances. Feeling threatened by Gilmore, Shooter McGavin
begins to insult him. Gilmore’s new goal was to only beat Shooter rather than
make the money, that he had forgotten completely about.
In third is Big Daddy. A lazy man known as Sonny
Koufax stars in the movie. He seems to have no purpose in life as well as
having issues when trying to focus which makes his girlfriend leave him. So, in
order to prove that he has the ability to be responsible, he adopts a kid.
Instead of just trying to get his girlfriend back by getting the kid, things
get complicated and he becomes attached to his son.
In second
is Billy
Madison, a film by Robert Simonds productions. In the film,
Adam Sandler plays an immature and lazy man that must repeat grades 1-12 all
over again in order to be able to inherit his fed up father’s hotel empire. In
the film, Billy ends up winning but gives away the hotel empire to a dear
friend, and someone who could take care of it more properly.
In first place comes Mr. Deeds. A small pizzeria owner and
poet, known as Longfellow Deeds gains $40 billion from his deceased uncle. He
then moves to the big city and begins to be overwhelmed with people
continuously trying to gain some of his money. A TV reporter named Babe
pretends to be a small-town girl in hope to gain money from Deeds. Babe ends up
falling in love with Deeds, but later on Deeds discovers money can change a lot
but it doesn’t need to change him.
