How William Shatner Changed the World

     What is possible in the world, is honestly amazing. Space travel, cell phones,  computers, medical technology and much more have advanced so much in just a short amount of time. But what is more breath taking, is that we, the people, have made it all. It's so weird to think about how we used to live without technology. Thinking about it, and how it is possible that Star Trek actually may have had an influence on what we have created. Who would of thought it would be possible to travel at the speed of light or maybe use the phone without a cord?! Today we take advantage of what the "geeks" have made but without them, these miraculous things wouldn't have happened without them.
    
     One of the most amazing thing's we have made, I think, would have to be the cellphone. Can you believe that cellphones actually used to weigh 40 whole ounces, now they weigh less than 4! You used to be only able to make phone calls, but now you can search the web, message, play games, listen to music, "Facetime" and more! Advanced or what? Everything just keeps on getting better and better. I can't wait to see what wil come next.

World Wide Web in Plain English

If we could see the connection it would like like little packets of code, we would need a translator which makes the codes into pictures, text, which we see on a website. We use a web browser translate the information and make it useful to us.

A server is what sends the images and text to our home. But in order to get to a severs using web adresses. We can visit a page on any server.

We call it a web because all the servers are connected.

I didn’t know people had pet alligators.

With broken servers, you can depend on cloud computing to keep your information safe because it is back up’d in many different places.
